UK and EU Funding Event

The Enterprise Europe Network Scotland, along with the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and Innovate UK are hosting a funding event for innovative companies. Learn about the wide variety of funding available and the support on offer to Scottish applicants.

Funding covered includes:

  • Innovate UK Smart funding: Innovate UK's most flexible grant funding. Open to disruptive companies from any sector, and also one of the most competitive grant competitions around (5-10% of applicants are funded). The current call closes 22 April, and you can learn more about it here
  • Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF): Innovate UK is investing in the world-leading research base and highly-innovative businesses to address the biggest industrial and societal challenges today. Challenge areas shortlisted for future support include: accelerating detection of disease, commercialising quantum, digital security by design, driving the electric revolution, future flight, industrial decarbonisation, manufacturing made smarter, sustainable plastic packaging and transforming foundation industries.   • DASA, Defense and Security Accelerator: DASA funds exploitable innovation to support UK defence and security quickly and effectively, and support UK prosperity. Open to applicants of all sizes and types. Funding is in the form of a contract, so project costs are 100% funded. You can learn more about challenge specific calls and an open call here
  • EUREKA Eurostars: Eurostars is for collaborative innovation projects between a UK SME and an applicant from another Eurostars participating country. You can get funding of up to 60% of your eligible project costs, which can be up to 360,000 euros per project. There are two deadlines each year. You can learn more her
  • EIC Accelerator: Previously known as the SME Instrument Phase 2, the The EIC Accelerator is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES) with radically new ideas underpinned by a business plan for rolling out marketable innovation solutions and with ambitions to scale up. It targets for-profit SMEs only, including young companies and start-ups, from any sector - there are no set topics.Single companies can apply for up to €2.5 million in grant funding with an intervention rate of 70%.   • EIT Digital: EIT Digital's Scotland office aims to increase innovation and investment in R&D, increase university-industry knowledge exchange, develop skills in Scottish businesses, and promote Scotland’s offer to investors and talent.EIT Digital invests in strategic areas to accelerate the market uptake and scaling of research-based digital technologies (deep tech) focusing on Europe’s strategic, societal challenges: Digital Tech, Digital Cities, Digital Industry, Digital Wellbeing, and Digital Finance.
